I’ve been watching this install in Virtual PC for what must be hours now. I’m beginning to think I should have spent that extra 30 minutes finalising the boot disc to get smartdrv configured.

Win2k setup advises you run with smartdrive, I didn’t quite understand till now how much of a difference it makes.
